Acoustic Alley: MULTIPLEXOR

multiplexor_coverBack in August, Kyle Coleman, the brainchild behind Multiplexor, was in town for a Noel Stephen and the Darlings show and I asked him if he would consider playing a few of his songs off of his upcoming album for the Acoustic Alley series. Kyle has been playing with a number of Atlanta musicians over the years, including a tour as a guitarist with O’ Brother, one of our favorite local acts. In 2011, however, Kyle released his self-recorded debut, If I Told You Everything, and began playing shows as Multiplexor, filling the live line-up with friends. His follow-up, Some New Air, is reminiscent of the great 90’s and early 00’s emo sound (Saves the Day, American Football, Mineral, etc.) and is certainly worth picking up as soon as possible. Enjoy “Waste” and “Enough” off of Some New Air, as well as a surprisingly fresh cover of “Begin Again” by our favorite pop princess, Taylor Swift.
