Goodnight, Texas is yet another great band that we missed the opportunity to review their first record, A Long Life of Living, that was released October 2, 2012. It is an engaging homage to the sounds of an era gone by yet not forgotten. As a fan from the genesis of alt-country who still grieves the dissolution of Uncle Tupelo and believes that the whole was greater than the sum of their broken parts, I have found some solace in Goodnight, Texas’ sound which is reminiscent of tintypes and evolving frontiers forged from sweat and blood.
