Track Premiere: WICKERBIRD’s “Druids”

Crafted in the damp foothills of Mt. Rainier, Wickerbird‘s haunting harmonies and creaking guitar draw you into a beautiful, sleepy daydream. Young twenty-something Blake Cowan is the solo visionary behind the moniker and has a debut ten track LP slated for release on September 25th.

The Blue Indian is proud to premiere the track “Druids” from Wickerbird’s upcoming ‘The Crow Mother.’ It is one of the standout tracks on the album and showcases the sleepy, lo-fi ambience of tranquil, wistful guitars and cavernous vocals that echo throughout the record.

It is exciting to be able to introduce to our readers an artist so talented and so new. Heck, the guy barely has 50 likes on his Facebook page (we were #52) and we were @Wickerbird‘s first Twitter follower – that’s gonna amount to some serious indie cred in the not-too-distant future.

Check out “Druids” below, then head over to the Wickerbird’s Bandcamp page to get a sneak peek at two more. Then hurry over to his Facebook page so that when his popularity soars, you can back up your claims at “discovering” Wickerbird by being one of his first 100 fans.
