Last Fall, we caught up with brothers James and Jon Duke of ATBL in the middle of their whirlwind of a tour with John Mark McMillan and David Crowder*Band. Our first attempts at recording the interview in Atlanta’s The Tabernacle were thwarted by an insanely loud soundcheck from the Crowder boys. After relocating to a quieter (and not as aesthetically pleasing) dressing room, the guys sat down to discuss their debut album, its follow-up that is currently in production (hear the first single here), and the importance of emotion in music.
