The inaugural Fly Free Fest – Music & Art Festival will be held Oct 11-13, 2013. The lineup includes headliners such as RJD2, Papadosio, and Rubblebucket, but also highlights some local Georgia groups such as Baby Baby, Stokeswood and Higher Learning. The festival’s site is about 40 miles Northwest of Nashville, located at the Red River Valley Park in Adams, TN.

Don’t doubt this first-time festival whatsoever. The campsites are wooded and riverside, with canoeing as a proper activity to take part in between sets. Fly Free offers hot breakfast, morning yoga, live art and many other workshops. You can swim in the river during the day and then have an open fire at camp come nighttime.

Fly Free Festival is the perfect way to end the summer festival season and begin anew by welcoming fall. The eclectic lineup cures the one downfall of smaller festivals, yet keeps the vibe intimate and unique unlike bigger fests.

Online ticket sales have now ended, but you can still grab tickets at the gates for $125. Students with a valid student ID can get tickets for $95 at the gates.
