Fresh on the heels of their latest full-length, Hotel Parties (out now via Easy Sound Recording Company), Athens’ FUTUREBIRDS are heading back to Atlanta for a headline show at the Buckhead Theatre — something that’s become somewhat of a tradition for the band, though we’ll miss spending NYE with them.

From the band’s bio… Arriving a full two years after the band’s 2013 breakthrough, Baba Yaga, Hotel Parties presents a series of dualities.  Loving something and letting it go. Pining for success and trying to staying true to yourself. The beckoning call of road and the comforts of home. As a result, says singer-guitarist Carter King, the LP represents Futurebirds’ “most concise effort to date all around, like some sort of accidental concept record.”

Nashville’s Faux Ferocious and fellow Athenians Grand Vapids handle support duties, offer hefty doses of psych-soaked rock ‘n’ roll.

For a very limited time, tickets are $10-$15 and will jump to $20 the night of. Get on that immediately.

Make a leftover turkey sammy, stick it in your back pocket, and get to Buckhead! We’re not sure if the venue will actually allow this and we’re positive this phrase has never been uttered before now. Regardless, tell your folks you’re heading out for a music concert, or bring them with, and don’t miss this one.
