The sun may set and Atlantic Station may cool, but that doesn’t mean the music stops in Hotlanta this weekend. The second annual Shaky Knees Music Festival is curing your late-night cravings with a handful of Friday and Saturday performances at a mixture of intimate venues, sure to keep your knees weary into the wee hours.

An absolute must-see will be the blues-based rockers hailing from the great state of Tennessee, The Black Cadillacs, as they kick off the restless Shaky Knees weekend with the Official Friday Late Night show on Friday, May 9th at East Atlanta’s The Earl.

Tennessee breeds unforgettable music. We all know that. But what makes The Black Cadillacs unique is their ability to blend the Volunteer State’s border-to-border influences into one high energy roar. With little snippets of soul, blues and rock, picked up along the banks of the Mississippi River to the hills of the Great Smokey Mountains, The Black Cadillacs discovered their knack while playing impromptu shows in college and a blues-based indie rock was birthed. And for that, our eardrums are thankful.

The guys just returned to the U.S. from a 25 date European tour with high expectations (and plenty of good stories, I’m sure) of the summer ahead. Relix Magazine just named them their “Summer Stars” for this festival season with plays a Bonnaroo, Hangout Fest, Wakarusa, Bunbury, Bragg Jam Festival, and more. Don’t miss these guys on the road this summer.

Joining them at The Earl will be Philly’s Man Man. Tickets are $14 advance, $16 day of. Doors open at 10:30pm. A separate late-night ticket will be required to check out this show, get your tickets here.
