Photos: Bragg Jam 2012

TheBlueIndian.com crew was thrilled to be a part of Macon, Georgia’s largest annual music event, Bragg Jam, for the second year in a row. If you’re interested in the history behind the festival, you can check it out here, but we’re more excited about where things are headed in the future. Bragg Jam was larger than ever this year, with 46 bands on 12 different stages throughout the city, and when the numbers came in, it was clear that 2012 was the highest attended year in the festival’s 13 year history! Featured acts like DJ Muggs (Cyprus Hill), Right Away, Great Captain! (Andy Hall of Manchester Orchestra), Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit and Dead Confederate made up some of the larger names on the bill, but some of the best attended sets were from Kopecky Family Band, soul-songstress Lydia Loveless, and festival first-timers and the second act of the day, Wool Folk.

Our photographer, William Haun, was still in the process of recovering from a major knee surgery and wasn’t able to make it all over town, but he was able to get some shots of the bands on both stages at the 567 Center. Thanks to all the board, committee members, volunteers, attendees, and bands that made Bragg Jam 2012 a success. We’ll see you next year!
