The Buckhead Theater will be graced with two great acts on Monday, November 4th as Capital Cities opens for Fitz & the Tantrums. Fitz & the Tantrums are touring in the midst of their second studio album, More Than Just a Dream. Front man Michael “Fitz” Fitzpatrick commonly describes the group’s genre as soul influenced indie pop and their current tour brings them to packed theatres and arenas every night. The band is enjoying the smashing success of Pickin’ Up The Pieces and their hit single “MoneyGrabber”. Their new album features heavier choruses which translates into energetic sing-a-longs at their shows. “Out of My League”, “Spark”, “6AM”, and “Break the Walls” are the notable tracks on their new album that lend more to the tone set in Pickin’ Up The Pieces.

The Blue Indian crew last saw FATT in Austin at SXSW this year, a month before their new album dropped. The venue was packed as I was barely able to get 30 yards away from the stage. The charisma in which Fitz and Noelle (Scaggs) use to control the crowd is like nothing I have ever seen. They’re intent on their goal to pour every last bit of energy they have into everyone in the room. That being said, it’s no surprise that they’re touring with Capital Cities. This group has been fully realized this year as Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian have added a full band to their indie elctro unit. Their smash hit “Safe and Sound” looks to be just the beginning as this group is on the rise. If you’re free or in the area be sure to come out and see these great act on Monday, November 4th at 7:30PM at the classic Buckhead Theatre. The show is currently sold out, but there’s sure to be a few tickets floating around the web or available outside the venue the night of…
