His decision to use the free/share business model online has worked for him as well. The tunes were shared at some point with someone working with Nike and the UK branch of company ran his song “Panic” in part of their Olympic marketing blitz earlier this year (see it here).
The newest album has more of a guitar-based rock sound and an overall brighter mood than the earlier work. Lyrically, all the three songs seem to focus on the joy of romance with opener “American Girl” being the stand-out tracks. Dare I say it reminds me of a Hold Steady or Springsteen song?
