I was recently introduced to Song Preservation Society by the kind folks at Sideways Media and wanted to take a moment to introduce them to you to them as well. The band hails from California and is comprised of Trevor Bahnson, Ethan Glazer, and Daniel Wright. Their EP, Ready Room, was released in September 2012 and is filled with near perfect vocals, delicate melodies, and brilliantly nuanced but gentle musical dynamics that create a seamless fit for each song as they flow in and out of each other to create a comforting whole. The echoes of artists past and present are unmistakable, however, Song Preservation Society rest comfortably on their own merit. Do yourself a favor and check out the Ready Room EP, watch for a new release, and catch them live on tour this summer or fall.
