Osheaga 2013 Lineup

TheBlueIndian.com crew will be packing our bags and heading to Canada this fall! Not to get a whiff of the rumored “maple-scented money” the Canadian government has been toying around with, but for the seventh annual OSHEAGA FESTIVAL in Montreal! Slated to take place in Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 2nd to August 4th, this fest features a lineup that rivals anything we’ve seen in the States this year, plus a special focus on rising Canadian acts.

As you can see, headliners include The Cure, Beck, and good ol’ Mumford & Sons, but as always we prefer the “smaller font” on the lineup. We’re have high anticipation for sets from Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Explosions in the Sky (yes!), Yelawolf, Rich Aucoin, Holy Ghost!, Wild Nothing, Oberhofer, and one of our favorite Canuck musicians – Corb Lund.

100+ of the best acts in folk, rock, electronic, and rap music will take the stages of OSHEAGA for a weekend that will more than likely find its way into our “Best Festival Yet” Hall of Fame… Once we get around to creating it.

Presented by Virgin Mobile in partnership with Molson Canadian, OSHEAGA truly offers a festival experience that is unparalleled (to our knowledge, though this will be our first time at an out-of-country fest) and should easily have Parc Jean-Drapeau filled to capacity with audiences from around the world. OSHEAGA also has one-of-a-kind art offerings with an emphasis on promoting Canadian arts to an international audience.

Holy heck! Did we mention that a three-day festival pass is only $235.00 + taxes?! Like any good festival, OSHEAGA has a number of VIP & travel packages to enhance your time in Montreal and if we had deep pockets, this is what we’d go for.
