The inaugural Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is scheduled to debut in South Florida the first weekend in March 2016 with a lineup chock-full of Grammy-winners, special sets, and underground favorites. The festival popped onto our radar just a few days ago and left us more than surprised. Florida routinely gets passed up by touring acts and residents typically have to drive hundreds of miles to attend major music festivals, however Okeechobee is set to change that with what will likely be the first fest of the year for many avid concert-goers.

Headlined by Mumford & Sons (making their second EVER stop in Florida), Kendrick Lamar, and Skrillex, the Soundslinger-produced festival has already sold out of their first-tier tickets and second-tier tickets are moving quickly. The first wave lineup includes TBI faves Big Boi & Phantogram teaming up as Big Grams, Jason Isbell, Portugal. The Man, Dr. Dog, Deer Tick, Youth Lagoon, and many more. Yes, just in the first wave.

Second-tier tickets are currently on sale for $269.50 + fees, so it’s on the pricier side of most of the festivals we cover, however you can expect a Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza type lineup if the announced acts are any indication. If you have the dough to shell out, VIP passes are moving for $599.00 + fees and include… well, a lot. You’ll have to check it out.

Weather in the Sunshine State in March is beautiful, albeit sometimes rainy, but this is one where the FOMO will set in pretty heavy. Start putting a few bucks away, but hurry — tickets won’t be available for long.
