Cass McCombs Live in ATL on Thursday, Jan 19th

Accomplished songwriter Cass McCombs is a busy man. Last year he gave us not one, but two full-length albums: Wit’s End and Humor Risk. While I normally point to the adage “quality over quantity,” McCombs broke the rule with both records receiving critical praise and making end of year “Best Of” lists.

Next week on Thursday, January 19th, McComb and his band will pass through Atlanta where he will play with a full band at The Earl. Middle Georgians will not only get to see one of our times’ most brilliant songsmiths, but experience the music of McCombs’ opener Frank Fairfield. Fairfield’s banjo and violin tunes recount old Appalachia and era when our “great grandparents weren’t even a glimmer in their mother or father’s eyes.”

We’ve got two tickets to giveaway to one lucky commenter! Simply leaves us a comment below telling us why you should be the one who gets to see McCombs and Fairfield live in Atlanta next week. Contest runs through Monday, Jan 16th when we’ll pick and announce the winner. Be sure you use a valid email address below so that we can contact you when you win. [update: contest closed]
