Smith Westerns to Tour With Yeasayer

smith westerns

Chicago’s Smith Westerns released its sophomore LP, Dye It Blonde, on Fat Possum on January 18th. The record was produced by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs !!!, TVOTR, Beach House, etc.) in New York City. The band has already won wide acclaim based on its self-titled debut, originally released in 2009 via the Chicago label HoZac while all of the band members were still enrolled in high school. The band just wrapped a European tour with MGMT, and recently launched a massive US tour which has now been extended to include dates with Wilco and Yeasayer as well as festival appearances at Sasquatch and Bonnaroo.
