TBI Presents: Little Tybee at the Wise Blood House, 03/10/13
We selected LITTLE TYBEE as our “Band of the Month” in March of this year for a number of fairly obvious reasons. For the past two years, the Atlanta-based group has been quietly writing, recording, and touring some of the most melodic and pure music we’ve been fortunate to cover. So, when we received word that they would be releasing a brand new album, For Distant Viewing, and touring to SXSW with Colorfeels throughout the month, it made sense. The new album is stunning, filled with symphonic pieces that burst and bloom in a multitude of ways.
The band closed out one of the most successful house shows we’ve been a part of with a personal and inviting set, spurring the audience to clap and dance along with them as they swayed with the cool evening breeze. Their set radiated with energy and hope, giving life back to the eager audience that assembled to see that Sunday night. You can enjoy sets from Colorfeels and Anne Bonny as well.
