The Blue Indian Presents: The Head and the Heart

The Blue Indian Presents: The Head and the HeartNormally, a great opening act is just icing on the cake when you go to see a great band in concert. This past Friday at Atlanta’s Masquerade, openers The Head and the Heart turned out to be the cake itself and headliners Dr. Dog were the sweet icing that followed.

I’m not putting Dr. Dog down. They were amazing and gave an excited crowd a nice long set of both oldies & newbies to rock out to. However, that level of excitement was fueled by the mind-blowing energy radiated by The Head and the Heart as they killed it on stage prior.

The Blue Indian is thrilled to share two exclusive videos from their set on February 4, 2011. We know you’ll be dying for more after seeing these, so rest assured we’ve got more videos and photos that we’ll post later in the week. In the meantime, head over to Sub Pop and grab a copy of their self-titled debut album – best eight bucks you’ll spend in 2011.

No matter how many times I hear ‘Rivers and Roads’ it always blows me away when everything cuts out and Charity starts in with ‘Rivers and roads….’ Every. Single. Time. Powerful song from a group that is absolutely amazing. Going to see them in Chicago at the end of Februarary, and from everything I hear it’s going to blow my mind. Cannot wait.
