Photos: Robbers, Citizen Insane, and Joshua McGinty

New York’s Robbers were back in town this past weekend to continue the ruckus they helped start in our first TBI Acoustic Alley session that you can find here. This time, instead of drawing a crowd of fans in the alley beside The 567 along with Macon favorites Floco Torres, AL K!NG, and Stribling, the group shared the tab with local favorites Citizen Insane and Joshua McGinty. It was a special night with an intimate crowd of die-hard fans of each act coming out to support. Joshua McGinty opened the night with a special set of fan favorites along with a few new tunes. It was McGinty’s first show since sharing the stage with Washed Out back in April of 2010. Robbers rocked the stage next leaving the crowd with Citizen Insane to wrap things up. Perhaps just as special as this night was, a very respected local photographer, John Cantwell was so kind to fill in for TBI’s William Haun while he was vacationing. It’s always been a desire of mine to feature the work of John Cantwell, as I’ve been a fan for a long time. His father, Dr. Kevin Cantwell, single-handedly inspired me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and chase my dreams of creating an avenue to write about what I love– Music. I can only hope that John Cantwell will be so kind to photograph more TBI shows around Georgia. Enjoy a handful of his photos from the night.
