The Giving Tree Band and Crooked Creek Records are proud to unveil the music video for “Circles,” the single of their forthcoming album The Joke, The Threat & The Obvious. The band have also found success at radio, where they debuted last week at number 40 on the Americana Airplay Chart.

Early reaction to The Joke, The Threat & The Obvious has been very positive outside of radio play as well.  “While string bands often lack the energy on tape,” writes Twangville, “The Giving tree Band and their green practices have somehow bucked that trend.” “The songs, fleshed out by an 8-piece ensemble, drip with authentic folk/country string-band touches.” On the road this summer the band thrilled crowds at Wakarusa, The Philly Folk Festival, Boston Green Festival, and Kennedy Center in Washington DC among many other successful dates.
