KahBang 2013 Lineup

Finally, after three years of missing out on clam chowder, great music, and everything else we’ve imagined Maine to be, TheBlueIndian.com crew will be headed to Bangor for the KahBang Music & Art Festival – the 5th anniversary! We’ve watched the festival grow over the past few years and always done our best to support it how we could. Yes, it was a bit odd at first to have a blog that focuses primarily on Georgia music posting about a festival that’s some twenty-one hours away, but as our vision grew and we expanded, so did our fan base.

KahBang 2013 is scheduled for August 8th – 11th – sunrise to sunrise, at least somewhere in the city. Aside from an impressive amount of independent film and art, the festival features music from sixty-five bands – including DR. DOG, EARL SWEATSHIRT, ST. LUCIA, OBERHOFER, and more. TBI alums Junior Astronomers, The Weeks, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, and Vacationer will make appearances throughout the weekend as well. There’s honestly more going on at this festival than we’ve been able to keep track of. Since 2013 marks their fifth year, the KahBang staff decided they would throw the ultimate birthday party for themselves, the artists, and the community that the event has built in Bangor.

We love parties, especially when they include camping, Ferris Wheels, lots of food, local beer, and boats. We love birthdays too, and since we’re celebrating our fourth as a website this year, it seemed fitting to go and celebrate with our new friends and family in Maine.

Tickets start at only $40.00 for the entire weekend. Camping passes that include your weekend admission are available for $70.00. Ticket prices increase on July 26th, so hurry up! VIP Passes (limited to only 100) are available for $130.00.
