On Friday, October 18th, the Drive By Truckers bring their trademark southern sound to Macon’s Cox Capitol Theatre for the first show under the Theatre’s new management, The Moonhanger Group. More commonly known for managing local eatery The Rookery, fine dining establishment Dovetail, and the Armory Ballroom, the group has already lined up an excellent Fall calendar of performers including Steve Earl, Bootsy Collins, Zoogma, Galactic, and more. You can view their full schedule HERE.

The Truckers last performance in Macon came at the inaugural Big Bird Bash Festival in March and fans are anxious to see them in a bit warmer weather. Fans should also note that Alabama Ass Whuppin’, the Truckers’ out-of-print record from 2000, is now available for purchase via their website.

Support for the Truckers comes from another one of Athens finest, T. Hardy Morris. Morris’ solo debut, Audition Tapes, received critical acclaim around the globe and has been in heavy circulation in our homes and offices.

General admission tickets are still available for advance purchase HERE.
