A few weeks back, Macon was treated to a full night of music from The Brand New Life, an Afro-beat group that calls Greensboro, NC home. The band met up with us outside Roasted, the venue they were playing at, and we made our way to one of the nearby alleys where we’ve filmed Sessions with Baby Baby and The Front Bottoms. I don’t think we’ve shot an Alley Session with a band that has this many members before, but it worked out surprisingly well.

Shortly after their show in Macon, the band did a few dates with Reptar on the way to Bonnaroo. TBNL’s trumpet player (Sean) and saxophone player (Walter) have actually made up two-thirds of Reptar’s horn section for the past couple of years, and they’re out on the road with them now as they support Yeasayer.
